Australian Coffee Index collects only the information needed to operate the publication, community gallery and services you request.
Morning Cup community
The Morning Cup uploader stores your submitted photo, display name, city or town, state, brew method and any optional machine, beans or story details. The normal browser uploader resizes and re-encodes the photo before sending it, which removes embedded location metadata. New photos remain private while awaiting editorial approval. Approved photos and their supplied details become public.
To limit abuse, the service stores a one-way hash derived from network and browser information with a submission; it does not store the original IP address in the gallery table. A first-party cookie identifies one browser’s current rating or report and its value is stored only as a one-way hash. Reports can temporarily hide content for review. Ask for removal through the contact page.
Newsletter data
When you subscribe, we store your email address, chosen review topics, consent time, signup source and subscription status. We use this information only for Australian Coffee Index email updates. You can unsubscribe at any time through the unsubscribe page or a link in future emails.
Commercial enquiries
Partnership forms store the business name, contact name, email address, opportunity type, message and submission time so the publication can respond and manage the enquiry.
Site measurement
First-party measurement records the page path, broad viewport category, event type, optional clicked control label and time. It does not add an email address, account identifier, full page URL, IP address or browser fingerprint to the measurement table. These records help the editor understand which guides and tools are useful.
Affiliate measurement
Outbound buying-link records contain the product, page placement, destination domain and click time. The site does not place an affiliate-click record against your email address and does not intentionally store your IP address or browser fingerprint in the affiliate table.
Sharing and retention
Information is not sold. Data may be processed by the hosting platform and, once connected, an email delivery provider solely to operate the publication. Pending or rejected community uploads may be deleted; approved gallery entries remain public until removal. Suppression records may be retained to honour unsubscribe requests.
Your choices
Use the unsubscribe page to stop marketing email. Use the contact page for access, correction, photo removal or deletion requests. Do not submit information you do not want stored or published.
