Why I started it
Buying home-coffee equipment should not require piecing together overseas prices, anonymous rankings and manufacturer copy. I started Australian Coffee Index to connect Australian availability, realistic workflows and first-hand experience in one useful place.
My everyday test is simple: can a machine make genuinely good coffee consistently, and can the people sharing the kitchen actually enjoy using it?

What my byline means
A byline identifies the human responsible for research and editing. It does not turn all 179 database profiles into hands-on reviews. Specification-led pages remain labelled “Research profile — not a hands-on review”; owner-tested articles state the test period, conditions and original observations.
Standards and corrections
